I learned how to play tennis and racquetball. I took social dance and Irish dance (which I love, but am not coordinated or graceful enough to do).
But the most fun were the horseback riding, backpacking, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, and kayaking classes I took. They gave me the excuse to learn new things and explore new areas. I even took a stained glass class and learned to make stained glass pieces.
These days I don’t need excuses to learn and try new things, but it can be more challenging to find the time to do so. In the meantime, I’m excited to teach our children the things I’ve learned so we can enjoy them together.
What activities are you looking forward to teaching your children?
