In a recent post I mentioned that we decided to rent out our RV when we’re not using it. Being the attention-to-detail-overachiever that I am, I’ve been putting together a “How to Use our RV and Bring it Back in One Piece” (just a working title, what do you think of it?) booklet for our renters.

As I’ve been working on it, it’s reminded me of all the research into RVs and travel trailers that I’ve done over the years. It also reminded me of how confusing it can be to figure out where to start when trying to decide on an RV or travel trailer. Are you confused by the plethora of RVs and travel trailers?

Some types of RVs are better suited for certain uses or different sized families, but how do you figure out which ones are which?

Some types of RVs are better suited for certain uses or different-sized families, but how do you figure out which ones are which? I've done a LOT of research into RVs and travel trailers over the years, and I've made a flowchart for you! More at ouradventuringfamily.com.

So I had the idea of putting together some sort of graphic to help you get started looking in the right direction. I tried sketching out a few different charts before settling on the flowchart you’ll receive for free if you sign up for our newsletter.

Now obviously, the flowchart is very simple and full of generalizations and just scratches the surface. After listing all the things I think are important to consider when looking at RVs, I realized there was no way I could include it all in a one page graphic.

So now I’m working on an e-book that will discuss everything in more detail, because I like to over-think everything. Stay tuned for more on that!

In the meantime, if you have any burning questions about what to look for in an RV, leave a comment below or email me and I’ll get back to you.
